Imagine Madrid (Rare parties)

Process of collective construction of a festival

in Pradolongo to rethink the ways of feeling

and living the public space from the weird.

In the context of the Imagina Madrid programme and in collaboration with Paula Cid, TRAZA is selected together with Fran Quiroga, curator, and the association Pasajes de Cine to carry out a process of artistic/cultural intervention in the Pradolongo Park, in the district of Usera.

Rare parties proposal seeks tointervene in the public space through the festive and the rare or marginalised, understood as everything that is outside the norm and therefore made invisible. It is a research that takes the party as the backbone methodology; through a Commission and various spaces, it seeks to create meeting places in which, taking advantage of the power of the weird, to collectively build a party that questions the ways of living the park.

The collective process coordinated by TRAZA since 2018 culminated in a big Rare Party in April 2019 and the publication of the book ‘La fiesta, lo raro y el espacio público’.
